Abuja, Nigeria, June 9, 2026 — The completion ceremony for the Phase II Main Carriageway Project of the Abuja Southern Outer Expressway (stretching from the Inner Ring Road Interchange to the Outer Ring Road Interchange), constructed by CGCOC Nigeria Ltd., was held at the project site on the afternoon of June 9.President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was represented at the event by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who inspected the project, attended the ceremony, and delivered remarks. The event was also attended by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Minister of State Mariya Mahmoud, Minister-Counsellor Sun Xuekun of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, Zhong Xiang, General Manager of CGCOC Nigeria Ltd., along with other senior government officials. Hundreds of local residents also gathered to witness the occasion.

Recently, CGCOC Cameroon Ltd. received letters of appreciation from both the Mayor of Bogo and a local FM radio station in recognition of the progress achieved on Lot 1 of the Maroua–Bogo–Pouss Road Project. The letters commended the company's effective project implementation and its positive contribution to improving the lives of local communities.

On May 29, local time, Wang Xining, China's Ambassador to Chad, visited CGCOC Chad Ltd. for an inspection tour and working meeting. The delegation was received by Yi Bowen, Deputy General Manager of CGCOC Chad Ltd., together with members of the company's management team.

On March 27, 2026 local time, a delagation from the World Bank Office in Ethiopia, together with the project owner, Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority, visited the project site of the Eastern Catchment Wastewater Treatment Plants Project in Addis Ababa undertaken by CGCOC for an on-site inspection. The World Bank delegation highly commended the progress achieved in project construction and spoke highly of CGCOC’s strong contract performance and professional management demonstrated under a complex external environment.

March 22, 2025 marks the 33rd World Water Day. For over 40 years, CGCOC Group has actively implemented China's Belt and Road Initiative, bringing "Chinese technology" and "Chinese experience" to the African continent. The company has been deeply involved in the construction of water conservancy and hydropower projects, helping more and more African people gain access to the safe and reliable drinking water they have longed for.

From February 18 to 20, the first International Forum for Infrastructure Development in Chad (FIDIT) was grandly held in the capital city of N'Djamena. CGCOC delegation led by Pang Dongsong, the General Representative for CGCOC francophone region and General Manager of CGCOC Chad, attended the opening ceremony and held extensive meetings with political and business figures all over Chad.
