On March 30, Lan Meizhong, Chairman of CGCOC, met in Beijing with Abass Fall, Mayor of Dakar, Senegal, who was on a visit to China. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on further deepening cooperation and reached broad consensus.

Lan Meizhong stated that CGCOC has been deeply rooted in Africa for more than four decades and has been present in the Senegalese market for over ten years. The company has accumulated extensive experience in infrastructure construction, agricultural development, water conservancy, and new energy. He said CGCOC looks forward to taking the mayor’s visit as an opportunity to align with Dakar’s development plans and explore cooperation in public buildings, municipal roads, and real estate development.

Mayor Fall expressed appreciation for CGCOC’s strong commitment to the African market and congratulated the company on its positive achievements in Africa. Responding positively to the cooperation proposals put forward by Lan Meizhong, he noted that Dakar is at a crucial stage of urban transformation and upgrading, with pressing needs in infrastructure development, livelihood improvement, and urban governance. He expressed his expectation that the two sides would further strengthen coordination and continue to advance practical cooperation.
