On September 3, Chairman Lan Meizhong held talks with Minister Wike of Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory, who was in China accompanying the Nigerian President to attend the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed. The Managing Director of CGC Nigeria Limited, Zhong Xiang, along with relevant department and agency heads from the company, also attended the meeting.

Lan Meizhong expressed his gratitude to the Nigerian government and Minister Wike for their long-standing trust and support of CGCOC Group. He provided a detailed overview of CGCOC's development in Nigeria, particularly the achievements in sectors such as energy, water supply, and drainage. He emphasized that the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit has brought new opportunities for China-Africa cooperation, and the prospects for collaboration between CGCOC and Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory will be even broader. Lan affirmed that CGCOC is willing to further deepen cooperation with Nigeria and contribute more to the local development.
Minister Wike recognized CGCOC Group's contributions to projects in Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory, particularly highly praising the Abuja Large-Scale Water Supply Project. He pointed out that 75% of the project's work has been completed, and upon its completion, the water supply challenges faced by satellite towns and rural areas in Abuja will be effectively addressed. Minister Wike expressed his hope to deepen cooperation with CGCOC, working together to inject new vitality into the prosperous development of the Federal Capital Territory.
On September 8, several major Nigerian media outlets, including the Nigerian News Agency, reported on the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between Minister Wike of Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory and CGCOC Group. The memorandum focuses on cooperation in electricity and water supply projects in the Abuja area, including the solar streetlight renovation and water supply to satellite towns.
