On the afternoon of September 5, Chairman Lan Meizhong held talks with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of the Republic of Senegal, who was in China to attend the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on implementing the outcomes of the Forum and advancing deeper cooperation in the Senegalese market.

Lan Meizhong expressed his gratitude to the Senegalese side for their longstanding trust and support of CGCOC Group. He briefed President Faye on several high-quality projects the company has implemented since entering the Senegalese market in 2015, including Phase I and II of the Diamniadio Industrial Park and Phase I of the Rural Borehole Drilling Project. He noted that during the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit, under the joint witness of the two heads of state, the loan agreement for Phase II of the Senegal Rural Borehole Drilling Project was successfully signed.
