On the morning of September 4, Chairman Lan Meizhong held talks with President Mahamat Idriss Déby of Chad, who was in China to attend the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit. In the presence of President Déby, a Memorandum of Cooperation for the N'Djamena Sewage and Stormwater Drainage Network Rehabilitation and Strengthening Project was signed with Chadian Minister of State, Minister of Finance, Budget, Economic Affairs, and Planning, Tahir Hamid Nguilin. Pang Dongsong, General Representative for the Francophone Region, along with representatives from the Group's Market Department and the Chad branch, accompanied the discussions.

Chairman Lan Meizhong expressed his gratitude to President Mahamat Idriss Déby for his long-standing support of CGCOC Group. He provided a detailed introduction to the company's development history, with a particular focus on its experience in sectors such as energy, water supply, and drainage. Chairman Lan emphasized that the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit has brought new opportunities for China-Africa collaboration, and the prospects for cooperation between CGCOC and Chad are even broader. He affirmed that CGCOC is eager to contribute more to Chad's development and infrastructure construction.

President Mahamat Idriss Déby expressed his gratitude and admiration for the significant contributions CGCOC Group has made to Chad's development over the past 20 years. He stated that Chinese companies, represented by CGCOC, are important partners of Chad. Since CGCOC established its presence in Chad in 2004, the company has remained steadfast, regardless of the changing international and domestic circumstances. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic and the country's financial difficulties, the execution of key projects has never been halted. The President extended a sincere invitation to Chairman Lan Meizhong to visit Chad again at his convenience, to which Chairman Lan happily accepted.

After the meeting, Chairman Lan Meizhong gave an interview to Chadian media, once again expressing CGCOC Group's willingness and determination to contribute to Chad's social and economic development.
