With a total length of 1,000 m, the bridge is the longest and largest existing cross-river water supply pipeline in Cameroon and even Central Africa. Its water delivery capacity exceeds 100,000 m³/d, which greatly promotes the vigorous development of industrial areas and commerce in Douala City. It is awarded as "Sustainable Development Project" by China International Contractors Association(CHICA).
