The smooth implementation of the project has greatly improved the regional agricultural production efficiency, reduced food prices, and made positive contributions to poverty eradication, agricultural modernization and local economic and social development, benefiting about 300,000 people around the project. The project is awarded the honorary title of "National Construction Star" by the Journalists Association of Northern Nigeria.
